Welcome to the First Annual KCKPS - DEIx Summer Conference! Featuring a showcase of diverse speakers. The Kansas City, Kansas Public Schools' Department of Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion is honored to be hosting the First Annual DEIx Summer Conference: "When You See Me...Voices from the Field." This conference will feature influential Kansas City-area community leaders, KCKPS students, and keynote speakers, sharing their personal journey, successes, and challenges they experienced as a person of diversity in one of five DEI domains. In each of the three breakout sessions you will have the opportunity to listen and interact with a speaker representing one of the five DEI domains. Those domains are: Multigenerational DifferencesRace & EthnicitySexual OrientationLanguage & CulturePersons with DisabilitiesGet ready to be informed on current topics, engage in dynamic conversations, and be inspired to take action.
