Section Of River Road In Summit To Close Monday, Tuesday Night

SUMMIT, NJ — River Road will be partially closed on Monday and Tuesday nights this week, according to announcement from the city. Between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. both days, River Road will be closed between Butler Parkway and Chatham Road for milling and paving operations by Union County. Detours will be posted, and police officers will be on site to assist with traffic control. Emergency vehicles will always have access. Union County also announced that a new light at the intersection of River Road and Chatham Road will become fully operational as a traffic signal on Wednesday. Have a news tip?
