TETERBORO, NJ - The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating a small plane emergency landing that occurred Sunday in Bergen County, officials said. Around 11 a.m., a single-engine Piper PA-32 landed safely while diverting to Teterboro Airport after the pilot reported smoke in the cockpit, an FAA spokesman told Patch. It was not immediately clear how many individuals were on board. The plane had departed from Norwood Regional Airport in Norwood, M.A., and was headed to Montgomery County Airpark in Gaithersburg, M.D. Once the aircraft registration number is verified, the FAA will release more information.
