DARIEN, CT — A downed power line was reported near Hindley Elementary School Monday morning, which caused buses to drop students off at a nearby church, according to a tweet from the town of Darien twitter account.
Students were safely let out at St. John's Church and escorted into the school, the town said, noting that school will remain open. Darien Emergency Medical Services and Eversource were on site.
According to the Eversource outage map as of 10:30 a.m., 35 customers are without power in the area. There is currently a 12 p.m. restoration time.
