Here are the top stories in New Orleans today: A body found in the Mississippi River has been identified as one of the 3 missing children who fell in a few weeks ago. On Monday, the body of 15-year-old Kevin Poole was discovered and has since reinvigorated the search for the other two children who went missing with Poole. The three kids were playing by the river when one fell in and the other two tried to save her.(WDSU New Orleans) The City of New Orleans is paying to move tenants from the Oakmont Apartments, a bankrupt apartment complex that had residents living in dangerous conditions with mold, rodents and a pipe the spewed sewage. Residents will be put up in hotels by City Hall while the complex is repaired. (Biz New Orleans) Two more shootings deaths occurred later on Sunday of this past weekend. One victim was found dead with multiple gunshot wounds to the body in New Orleans East after officers responded to a call of illegal gunshots in the area. The second victim was found dead around 9:30pm in Algiers and had suffered a single gunshot wound.
