This dual-purpose event serves both children with disabilities and their parents/caretakers through the arts. The Art Celebration for Kids with Disabilities is a dual-purpose event that serves both children with disabilities and their parents/caretakers through the arts. Children with disabilities will engage in fun-filled art classes led by experienced special needs art educator Carolina Garcia and aides, while their caretakers enjoy informative presentations by industry professionals on cultural resources, art therapies and arts career opportunities for individuals with disabilities. This celebration will enable children and their parents to connect with others, be empowered by information, and gain support. Featuring an exhibition by artists with disabilities in partnership with Arts4All Florida. Partners/event sponsors include Dan Marino Foundation, Arts4All Florida, Family Network on Disabilities, University of Miami-Nova Southeastern University Center for Autism & Related Disabilities, Canine Assisted Therapy Inc., and ScentsAbility Candles.
