Press release from the City of Piedmont: April 30, 2022 On Sunday, May 15, 2022, the Piedmont Recreation Department will be hosting our inaugural Play Like a Girl+ Piedmont event at Witter Field, from 10:00 am–1:00 pm. This free event is aimed at getting girls ages 2–18 pumped to play sports in a fun and supportive environment. Girls from around the Bay Area will be in attendance and in collaboration with the Piedmont Unified School District, organizations from Piedmont, Oakland, Berkeley and beyond, PRD will be offering approximately 20 different sports for girls to try out. Volunteers are needed as Greeters to welcome attendees, help direct the flow of foot traffic to the event site, and assist PRD staff as needed. Event details will be emailed prior to the event.
