Press release from the San Antonio Public Library: Andrew Crews 29 April 2022 1909 Expressions of good will and predictions of success from prominent citizens greeted the announcement today of the consolidation of the San Antonio Daily Light and the Gazette, effective this morning. 1984 The Cody branch of the San Antonio Public Library system opens for business. 1996 The trial to determine who mishandled 500,000 yards of contaminated Alamodome soils ends with a settlement.
