This workshop will include introduction to curriculum, technical assistance and a Back to Roots Aquaponics tank for your classroom. Where: UF/IFAS Tropical Aquaculture Lab in Ruskin, FL When: June 7, 2022, 10 AM- 5 PM EST What: This workshop is the third phase of an Aquaponics in the Classroom project between partners at Florida Agriculture in the Classroom and the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Division of Aquaculture (funded by the National Agriculture in the Classroom Organization). The all day workshop will include an introduction to the elementary level (grades 3-5) aquaponics curriculum developed as part of the grant, a working demonstration of set-up for a mini-aquaponics desktop system and a tour of the UF/IFAS Tropical Aquaculture Lab. All attendees will go home with their own Back to Roots Water Garden* to use in their classroom and access to the full curriculum and materials developed through this project. This workshop registration is for elementary-level educators.
