Description

LAKEVILLE, MN — As of May 1, the city of Lakeville's use restrictions for public water are in effect. Residents are now required to follow the odd/even and time of day rules. Residents should water when needed and only on odd-numbered dates if their house number ends in an odd number. If their house number ends in an even number, then they should only water on even dates. Watering is only allowed before 11 a.m. or after 5 p.m. Watering in the middle of the day can be wasteful because the water evaporates before it gets to the grass, plants, and flowers. Nearly all of Minnesota experienced severe drought last summer, and similar conditions could plague the state again this summer.
