ELMHURST, IL – Elmhurst experienced a drop in weekly coronavirus cases, according to the DuPage County Health Department. As of Sunday, the city had seen 9,915 cases since the beginning of the pandemic, up 93 from a week before. That's lower than the previous week's 109. The city hit a weekly record of 599 in January. The number of coronavirus-related deaths in Elmhurst stayed the same in the last week, at 95. The mortality rate among those locally with the coronavirus is 1 percent.
