Press release from the City of Glendora: April 28, 2022 NOTICE: Lane Reconfiguration • Foothill Blvd & Grand Ave Intersection • May 3 - December 2022 DOWNLOAD THE OFFICIAL NOTICE CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITY As part of the Foothill Gold Line light rail project, KPJV will be reconstructing the Foothill Blvd. & Grand Ave. intersection, realigning the street, and building a bridge over the intersection for the new light rail system. To reduce traffic impacts from the extensive construction activities, KPJV will reconfigure the traffic lanes on both streets near the intersection to maintain thru traffic in all directions, starting May 3rd and continuing through December 2022. During this period, work will take place during daytime hours, with intermittent nighttime work expected. NOTE: Crews will need to fully close the Foothill Blvd. & Grand Ave. intersection in the 3rd quarter of 2022; a separate notice will be distributed ahead of the full closure. WHEN Beginning on Tuesday, May 3rd and continuing thru December 2022, the intersection at Foothill Blvd. and Grand Ave. will be under a new traffic configuration. • Daytime working hours: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM • Nighttime working hours: 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM (as needed and intermittent) TRAFFIC ADVISORIES Expect delays. Traffic lanes will be reduced in all directions; but thru traffic will be maintained at all times (as will all turn movements). Access to surrounding businesses will be maintained at all times. PLAN YOUR ROUTE AND BE PREPARED. The map below shows the new intersection reconfiguration. NOTE: Thru traffic will be maintained in all directions at all times. NOTE TO RESIDENTS / BUSINESS OWNERS • Noise from construction equipment will be produced near the active work zones.
