WALPOLE, MA — A single-car crash temporarily knocked out power to a Walpole neighborhood on New Year's Day. The crash happened around midnight when the driver crashed into a utility pole. Police are still investigating the crash, there were no injuries. The crash happened on Summer Street. The front end of the car was dented in and the utility pole was left slanted until Eversource officials could fix it. Police warned residents to expect power disruptions for hours while repairs were made.
