Press release from the Lindenhurst Union Free School District:
October 23, 2020
On Oct. 17, the Lindenhurst community, once again, came out to show their support for the students of the Lindenhurst Union Free School District. While this year there would be no traditional homecoming football game, there was instead a "Welcome Home Car Parade" organized by the Lindenhurst High School Student Council.
The parade began at the high school and made its way down Wellwood Avenue ending at Lindenhurst Middle School. Each car represented a different cereal. The freshman class float reflected "Cinnamon Toast Crunch," the sophomore class depicted "Fruity Pebbles" and the junior and senior classes portrayed "Captain Crunch" and "Lucky Charms," respectively.
The parade was led by homecoming queen Brynn Waszmer and king Anthony Setzer.
