Description
I’m looking for someone to help me assemble furniture in North County because I live in San Diego and cannot accommodate the jobs coming in from north of Rancho Santa Fe. This is gig work, ideal for a college student or someone who just wants to work up to 5-8 hours extra per week. It’s too much for me to make the drive all the time but not enough for a full-time position. Just want to be clear about that up front.
Examples things you will be putting together include: dressers, patio furniture, desks, entertainment centers, bed frames, office chairs, vanities, tables, cabinets, and chairs.
Tools you should already have or are willing to purchase include: screwdriver with multiple phillips head and allen wrench bit options, drill, small/medium hammer, and mallet. I have found a clamp, vice grips, and a square to be helpful as well. (Most jobs provide tools but they are usually the super small and annoying allen wrenches.) At a minimum, you will need a screwdriver and hammer as those are usually not provided.
You’ll be paid hourly but as an independent contractor, as you can decide (within a preset window) the hours you works and what you wear (within reason). This is, ultimately, self-directed work. You will be paid your full wage for a job even if you finish early.
