Last week, with the spa day and beginning yoga practice, I worked on Externals. Happy to say that the yoga part is one week closer to becoming a Habit.
Now, I am tackling the Internal. My diet hasn't been great lately, and it's manifesting itself in blotchy skin, fatigue, a weight loss plateau.
What to do?
A good initial step I took after Winter holidays was to cut both alcohol and coffee consumption. This helped my sleep cycle so much; also lost ~20 lbs.
I'm feeling now that eliminating both entirely would be good. Am more of a tea person.
Processed foods are next to go. I don't go out to restaurants/order take out much, as I prefer my own cooking. However: started relying on things like deli meats, boxed Mac and Cheese, packaged snacks like corn chips. Those crutches can go away.
My goal isn't anything extreme like a vegan diet. I don't aspire to be a vegetarian, even. Just looking towards a plant-based, balanced one.
Also: Hydration. Drinking enough water in any form is probably going to be a discipline to make habit of, like with Yoga.
