LINDENHURST, NY - Lindenhurst residents will get the chance to cast their votes for their local representatives on Tuesday. Incumbent Mayor Michael Lavorata will be running unopposed. Lavorata was appointed mayor in 2017 after serving as deputy mayor in 2014. In addition, incumbent trustees Richard J. (RJ) Renna and Joan Masterson will be running unopposed. The 2020 village election will be held on September 15 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. There are seven polling locations by election district. The polling locations are as followed: Election districts 5 and 101 – Alleghany Avenue School at 250 South Alleghany AvenueElection districts 13, 64 and 119 – Bower School at 315 West Montauk Highway6, 62, 89 and 110 – Daniel Street School at 289 Daniel Street16, 71 and 143 – West Gates Avenue School at 175 West Gates Avenue19 and 111 – Delaware Avenue Firehouse at 100 South Delaware Avenue24 – Fire Department Main House at 225 South Wellwood Avenue39, 50 and 104 – Lindenhurst Rainbow Center at 293 Buffalo AvenueIf you have a question about where to vote, contact Lindenhurst Village Hall at (631) 957-7500.
