1 yr old male husky

Description
This is Wyatt. He was rescued from a local shelter about four months ago and is estimated to be about 1 year of age. It is expected that he previously lived outside tied to a chain. He was underweight and had very little muscle mass. Wyatt is now at his ideal weight and has gained muscle mass with lots of daily exercise. He is housebroken and kennel trained. However, make sure he has gone to the bathroom before running a vacuum cleaner near him or he will pee. He usually gets a 2-3 mi run or fast walk in the morning and a 1-2 mi leisurely walk in the evening. He does need to be fed separately from any other animals as he does guard, snarl, and growl if anyone comes near him while he is actively eating from his food bowl. He takes treats from people of all ages and around other dogs without issue. He will resource guard a flavored bone. He is now crate trained. However, he has not been left in his kennel for more than 4 hrs except at night. He rotates between sleeping in the bedroom and his kennel. He does just fine with both as long as he is exercised. He knows to sit, touch his nose to your thumb when you say 'touch,' and to give his paw when you say 'paw.' He does mouth pretty hard when playing. This has improved tremendously, but do be aware of it. He is young and needs someone who will continue to exercise him, train him, love him, and be patient with him. He currently lives with a 9 and 5 yr old child and plays well with them, but you will have to monitor and continue to positively train him with your kids. He also lives with a 10yr old dog equal to his size. They do well together except that Wyatt is a sprightly husky pup and the other dog is older with arthritis. Wyatt tries to play too rough with him. With this, I would recommend Wyatt only be paired with dogs of his size who can handle husky play. He is neutered and up to date on vaccines. I will ask for a vet reference for anyone wishing to adopt Wyatt. Re-homing fee $275. His collar, leash, harness, a bag of his current dog food, and 3 mo supply of his current heartworm/tick/flea prevention will come with him.
