With the 2022 storm season just around the corner, SEG is recruiting, training and preparing contractors for the Damage Assessor roles. SEG is seeking people who can respond to disaster-creating storms and events. Storm duty personnel are:Available to be called on short notice,Able to work long hours during the recovery effort,Enthusiastic team players with tireless attention to detail,Committed to clear communication both oral and written,Professional in conduct with clients, team members and the public.Damage Assessor Training for Contractor CandidatesTraining for Damage Assessment Contractors occurs in two or three ways:Online training after registration,On-the-job training for registered contractors with sufficient electrical experience,In-person training days.In order to register for an opportunity to work with SEG, fill in.Damage Assessor Training Day on Saturday, May 7th. in Apex, NCFrom Saturday Morning to early afternoon,Location and times will be sent to you after you register by filling in.Morning snacks and lunch provided.Damage Assessor RequirementsAll qualified candidates must have:Professional appearance (neat and clean)Professional attitude (speech and behavior)Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)Safety vest,Hard hat,Steel/composite toed shoes,Proper winter/rain gear.It is important to note that this is not full-time work. Because we only work when disasters require our participation, there is no guarantee of work. When we do deploy, it is usually from one to five weeks at a time. Hours per day for Damage Assessor Crews are a minimum of 12, so there is opportunity to make good money in a short time frame.
