Job Title: Shipping & Receiving-Warehouse Employee Position Reports To: Warehouse Supervisor Department: Portland Office FLSA: (enter “X”)   Exempt X Non-Exempt (Federal Labor Standards Act) – Note whether Exempt or Non-Exempt from overtime.) Date: 5/2/2022 The statements below are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by persons assigned to this job. General Summary: On a typical day you will receive incoming product, check for any discrepancy between the packing list and the actual items received, and perform quality inspections. Once received, you will use our company software to identify if the items are to be stocked at our warehouse or needed for an outstanding order that you will prepare for shipment. You will oversee multiple orders/shipments at once, so multi-tasking and time-management are necessary to be successful. Rate of Pay: $18.00 to $21.00/HR DOE and opportunity for over-time Essential Functions: -Check in and ship orders -Maintain communication with Inside/Outside Sales team -Label, organize and consolidate product(s) as needed -Achieve & maintain high quality standards -Assist other department(s) as needed Tools at Disposal: You will have pallet-jacks, forklifts, warehouse carts, and other related tools at your disposal to achieve job functions. Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one year or more related experience and/or training preferred; forklift certification preferred (can train). Experience: One or more years related experience and /or training in a warehouse environment where main focus was in shipping/receiving. Computer experience preferred. Skills & Abilities: -To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this position. -Problem solving-the individual identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner and gathers and analyzes information skillfully -Planning/organizing-the individual prioritizes and plans work activities, uses time efficiently and develops realistic action plans. -Adaptability-the individual adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and is able to deal with a frequent change, delays or unexpected events. Supervision Received: Works under direct daily supervision of supervisors and/or management, receives goals and basic procedures for project assignments. Must handle prioritization with a variety of competing activities. Working Conditions: Requires working in warehouse environment with fluctuating seasonal temperature changes. Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time at an assigned station, navigate stairs to pull parts and be able to lift up to 65 lbs. Will be required to operate forklift. Frequent standing, bending, lifting and pulling.
