Our offices are even located in the original farmhouse on the acreage. We grow all of our own-root roses and ship them all over the United States to their new homes in our customer’s gardens. We may be casual in our dress - it is a nursery after all - but we are professional and thoughtful in our work ethic, commitment, and care for both our plants, customers, and employees. Position Summary: The Janitor is responsible for the cleaning and care of all non-production areas of the facility. Specific Duties: - Performs general cleaning and janitorial duties in the non-production areas of the facility, including: **Main house & indoor break room **Operations office trailer **Outdoor break room **Shipping office **Trailer restrooms - Maintains neat and orderly janitor supply area; notifies supervisor when cleaning and paper supplies are running low stocked. - Keeps an eye out for safety hazards; reports deficiencies to supervisor. - Other duties as assigned by supervisor Requirements - Knowledge of proper use of various cleaning and sanitizing solutions. - Ability to operate tools or equipment used in routine cleaning. - Must be able to follow written instructions and comply with safety regulations. - Organized, detail-oriented and thorough. - Able to work with a team or independently. - Must be able to meet physical demands of the role, including, but not limited to repetitive walking; bending; twisting; squatting; stooping; using hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; pushing; pulling and lifting up to 25 pounds. - Willingness and ability to wear all required personal protective equipment. - Able to work indoors and outdoors, in seasonal temperatures and conditions, including cold, wet and/or humid conditions, and heat.
