Well-established classic auto restoration shop is looking for the right Master Trimmer to build our Upholstery division. Our shop is over 15,000 square feet with high bay ceilings, big air capacity, great lighting, multiple lifts, multiple work stations, offering full body, paint, interior upholstery, and restoration services. We are typically booked 2-3 years in advance; no lack of work. You will be working in a professional environment; you must be a professional as well. Please, no drugs, drama, baggage, or other issues. Weekly pay, you will never miss a paycheck. I would be willing to make this an hourly, piece-work, or even profit-sharing arrangement for the right professional. Duties would include sewing and installing classic and contemporary auto interior seat covers, door panels, headliners, and more. Installing carpet kits, sewing custom carpet kits, marine upholstery, and more. Convertible top mastery is a huge plus. Must be able to pass a drug test, a background check, possess a valid driver's license, provide verifiable references, and have reliable transportation. We also have potential openings for the following positions: -Auto restoration specialist: Turn-key comprehensive knowledge of, and ability to remove, repair, and replace most if not all aspects of classic 1960's and 1970's muscle and classic cars & trucks. Electrical, mechanical, cosmetic, and other comprehensive systems knowledge a must. Must have a professional tool inventory for this level of work. -Restoration apprentice: Clean, wash, polish, paint, detail, small repair, and other entry to mid-level shop position. Pressure washing, undercarriage clean and detail, general cleaning and detailing of parts, reassembly, etc. Again, classic car knowledge at some level is important. Basic automotive repair tools are necessary. -Auto body mid-tech: Rust repair, sheet metal replacement, metal work, body work, filling, sanding, blocking, paint prep.
