LINDENHURST, NY — Several Long Island residents have managed to find some luck in 2020 —by winning big while playing New York Lottery. Among those winners include Theresa Treimanis of Lindenhurst, who recently hit the $1 million Lottery Scratch-off jackpot. In July, Treimanis purchased her winning ticket at the Speedway on East Montauk Highway in Lindenhurst. She chose to receive her $1 million prize as a one-time lump sum payment totaling $557,594 after required withholdings. "It feels like a dream," she said. "I can't believe it." Treimanis said she plans to use the winnings to pay off her house.
