We are in an emergency situation. We are looking to rehome our cane corso mix AS SOON AS POSSIBLE with either a rescue or someone’s personal home. We just had a baby and he has been becoming extremely aggressive towards her. We temporarily have him at a family members house because of how unsafe the situation is. Please no hate as this is the absolutely the last thing we ever wanted. And my whole family is completely devastated by the entire thing. We have tried to introduce them slowly and we haven’t been successful at all. Our other pit mix has shown no aggression. Some information on our boy since he will require a specific type of home or rescue, He’s name is Groot and he is a unaltered cane corso/pit mix. He NEEDS to be the only dog and can ONLY be around older children. He was around my other dog since he was a puppy and they get along fine but he will become possessive over his food or toys. He has never been aggressive towards me, my husband, my 13 year old niece who lives with me, or any guests that came into my home but he is unsure of smaller kids but will tolerate them as long as they’re respectful towards him. He IS NOT okay around babies. He is also extremely strong and bullheaded and requires a person or family who is able to handle how strong he is. He is such a great dog other then that. He loves to play and run around and he’s not a huge jumper. He is crate trained and is use to being in a crate while we are at work. He is a very loving and loyal dog who just loves to be loved and give all his love in return but just has some quirks and I want him to be with a family or rescue who understands that. If we cannot find someone soon he will have to go to a shelter and I’m trying to avoid that at any and all costs possible. We are going to require some type of vet references or information to make sure that the home is a right fit.
