Hating Trump?

Description

Many of the Trump supporters who frequent this board believe that anyone who criticizes Trump "hates" him, yet they happily criticize their foes in the opposing party and bristle if queried "is that hate as well?" I realize this will be flagged immediately, so ponder the reason I even take the time and trouble to post it. But here goes anyway. I consider myself a moderate Independent, leaning liberal socially, conservative financially. In no way or fashion do I hate Donald Trump. In fact, when I was a young man, I earnestly wanted to be Trump! He was outgoing, extraordinarily handsome, and seemed full of adventure. He received what some might consider a fortune as a gift from his cold, stoic father, BUT. He kept it. He didn't piddle it away on wine, woman and song as I surely would have. And not only did he keep it, but he allowed it to grow. Yes, he has vices, but get real! Who doesn't? My problem with Trump is I believe he entered politics for the wrong reason, and like everything else in life, tried to just start at the top, and was WAY out of his depth. Because he stormed in, he did not know to surround himself with seasoned politicians who would have shielded himself from things he could not possibly have had knowledge of. He was and remains an interesting footnote to what politics is in America. He is a glaring, in your face example of what most of us love and are least happy about in ourselves. One man's opinion only.
