Here is a list of just some of the reasons why I despise Trump: Let's start in the early '70's. Fred Trump, leading the Elizabeth Trump Company - a Real Estate Trust Company specializing in rental/residential markets - is sued by the Department of Justice in a housing discrimination suit that was the largest of its time. Donald Trump, acting as the president of the firm, hires Roy Cohn and fights the suit for years. The evidence against the Trumps was overwhelming; and was used as a case study in law schools across the nation of how bad actors will respond to viable allegations of housing discrimination. 2. While building his Atlantic City casino (whose bankruptcy nearly destroyed an entire city) Donald Trump failed to pay, and/or underpayed agreed contractual sums, 4300 times. FORTY THREE HUNDRED! Please don't call that smart...that just a con being run by con artist! 3. But wait, let's talk criminal acts. The last 20 years of Fred Trump's life were scarred by Alzheimer's. Now Fred's children are the children he raised. Fred was a scrubless man who raised children that reflected that bend in the moral road few of us cross. Fred had screwed contractors, business associates, tax accessors, and the Federal Government for years. So when Fred fell ill with his degenerative neurological disorder, his children were there to pounce on the assets of the estate. Fred was a wealthy man who had accumulated an estate valued at well over $1 billion (USD). At his death, the estate was revalued to one-quarter that amount. The story of how they (the Trump children led by Donald) were able to accomplish that is a story of tax fraud and criminality unmatched in American history. And we haven't even entered the 21st Century yet. Trump's a criminal we asked to "defend and protect" the laws of this nation. Ask yourself why someone who also pledged to do that noble thing would hate a man like Trump?
