Dear Student Jazz Musicians, My name is Robert. I am leading a student Jazz Group at the Albany Nanocollege (College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering). I am not a music teacher, but I have about 30 years’ experience leading Jazz Groups. We are looking for student musicians for a summer jazz band. We have drums, guitar/bass player and two saxophones. The band typically rehearses twice a month, typically Tuesdays 6-8PM on our campus. The band plays about 70% jazz standards out of the Real Book, and 30% music from other genres such as rock and blues. I have attached a list of songs that we play at the bottom. The goal is to play Jazz and have fun. We might play some gigs at the end of the summer Ideally, we are looking for a local high-school or college student who plays: Piano Bass Guitar Trumpet Or is a Vocalist! Interested?
