Job Title: Experienced Welder Position Reports To: Department Manager Department: Houston Office Date: 5/2/2022 The statements below are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by persons assigned to this job. General Summary: Responsible for various types of weld preparation, GTAW welding and weld finishing operations to manufacture product to customer drawings, specifications, or other forms of instruction. Self-motivated people who want to make a difference should apply. Thin metal welding (less than.060”) is a plus Essential Functions: - Proficient in assigned GTAW welding techniques with thin materials. SMAW welding experience a plus but not required - Knowledge of different required filler materials for different applications - Working knowledge of fixturing and welding machine set up parameters (amps, volts, etc.). - Use of conventional and precision measuring instruments. - Welding equipment maintenance. - Grinder proficiency - Perform physical inventory when required. - Wear the proper and required safety equipment. - Perform other duties as assigned. - Fill out and maintain work order paperwork. Education/Experience: One year or more of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Skills & Abilities: Must demonstrate the ability to pass ASME Sec IX weld test in the near future. Must be able to demonstrate ability to weld in all positions at time of interview. Supervision Received: Works under direct daily supervision of supervisors and/or management, receives goals and basic procedures for project assignments. Must handle prioritization with a variety of competing activities. Performs tasks independently with periodic supervisory review/audit. Seeks guidance to assure complete and appropriate action. Rate of Pay: $21 to $25
