K9 Defense LLC offers canines and training for Civilians, Law Enforcement, Detection, Personal Protection, Military, and Private Security. Training dogs for law enforcement, personal protection, and detection has been our primary focus at K9 Defense for the past 20 years. We strive to improve the human to canine relationship, the cornerstone of effective training. When we’re not helping dogs and people better understand each other, we’re researching and learning new methods and techniques to keep our training cutting edge. Each canine team has unique dynamics. We recognize that and work to bring forth the common ground between them to maximize their effectiveness together. Scientifically based training and behavior knowledge are our passions. The result is a gratifying working relationship between our clients and their dogs, from our pet clients to police and military clients. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS • Daily care of canines including but not limited to thoroughly cleaning kennels, feeding/watering, bathing. • Maintenance and cleaning of kennel facilities, ensuring no garbage laying around, canines are picked up after, keeping areas clean and organized. • Assisting trainers as needed including setting up for daily training sessions, greeting clients as they arrive, breaking down at close of day. • Ability to identify if a canine is showing signs of any health issues including heat exhaustion. • A commitment to continuous education and training. • Following proper safety measures and procedures when using medicines, chemicals, and cleaning supplies. EDUCATION • High School Diploma or GED. EXPERIENCE • No experience necessary, will train the right individuals who are reliable and driven. REQUIREMENTS • Professional attitude as you will have integration with current and potential clients and customers. • Required uniform, company shirts will be provided. These shirts must be worn while working. • Assisting other employees in a cheerful and respectful manner. • Must be 18 years of age • Dependable transportation is a must. • Ability to work outside in Arizona heat. • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. • Shifts may include nights, weekends and holidays BENEFITS • Sick pay in accordance with Arizona statute. • One-week paid vacation after 1 year of service. • Evaluation of payrate after 90 days. • The opportunity to learn from high level canine trainers. • For the right individual, promote to a training position (not guaranteed) • Discounts on top quality dog food, supplies and equipment. • As the company grows more benefits will be added. • We anticipate significant growth moving forward.
