Position: Material Handler Pay: $14hr Shift: 7am-3:30pm A Material Handler is the person who handles tasks that are related to inventory in a warehouse setting. Roles include maintaining inventory levels, making monthly/weekly inventory reports, recording and labeling inventory items to be used on jobs. This person constantly communicates with departmental managers to make sure items are replenished and maintain proper levels. This person will need to perform some physical tasks, such as moving and lifting materials. He/She oversees the flow of inventory in and out of the warehouse. ________________________________________ Job Requirements • Maintains and manages inventory of materials and stocked products, which include stock locations and profiles. • He/she will account for receipt of new items, returns, back-orders and any other issues • Investigates discrepancies in any deliveries and shortages • Meets with operations manager to minimize overstocks and remove redundant and obsolete raw materials. • Ensures that all goods and stock are properly stored and organized • He/She performs daily counts of inventory materials • He/She will conduct quarterly and annually physical inventory counts • Ensures all ordered products are accurate when received • Organizes and maintains the warehouse area to ensure efficient material storage and handling. • He/She maintains Midnight labeling systems on all stock items • Notify operations manager immediately if any item is not received. • Creates/maintains accurate written procedures for primary inventory control ensuring accuracy. • Implements improvement systems and processes to reduce inventory setbacks, while minimizing costs. • Performs miscellaneous duties, which are work-related, as assigned. • Keeps warehouse swept and well maintained daily • A High School Diploma or GED is required. Must have basic computer skills. ________________________________________ Physical Demands Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
