LEVITTOWN, NY—Harmony Early Learning Center, a day care in Levittown, has plans to open a second location on Wantagh Avenue next year.
This week, Allison Ulin, the day care's founder and director, celebrated the groundbreaking of a new, 10,000 square foot, state-of-the-art childcare facility. County Legislator Thomas McKevitt and Councilman Dennis Dunne joined Ulin for the ceremony.
This day care, Ulin's second, will service more than 100 families in the area and create over fifteen new jobs. This new development will help the Levittown-Wantagh area keep up with the ever-growing demand for local, quality childcare.
Ulin's first location, opened in Levittown in 2013, services 50 local families and recently received a 4-star rating with Quality Stars NY – a comprehensive rating and improvement system for regulated childcare programs.
"I am truly amazed and grateful that we have the opportunity to open Harmony's new Wantagh location so that we may continue to provide quality care to the young families in our area. It was a lengthy and challenging process, but I am thankful to the entire team that has made this expansion possible, especially to our past and present Harmony families for believing in our program and allowing us to be a part of their child's early education experience," Ulin said.
The new preschool is scheduled to be completed in early 2021. For more information about Harmony's programs or employment opportunities, call 516-595-7478.
