Kailer is 1/2 Boxer, 1/4 Border Collie, 1/4 Staffordshire Terrier. He was rescued at roughly 4 weeks old. He will be 8 years old this May, and is well trained with all basic commands and a fair amount of advanced commands. He trains easily and responds to positive reinforcement very well. He loves to play fetch whether in an open space or at the river. He is a great walker and a fantastic hike partner. He isn’t great with other dogs due to prior bad experiences (other dogs attacked him at a dog park) and is protective of his pack. He doesn’t care much for little kids, though with a little extra training, I’m sure he would be great with older kids. He is very mellow, loves to cuddle and relax on the couch. He also loves to be your car partner. He will protect you wherever you go and can be hesitant when approaching strangers, especially males. We are sad to have to rehome him as he was our first “baby” and has had our hearts, but our current season requires us to make this difficult choice. $150 rehoming fee
