We are looking for Janitors to join our team at University of Houston. The Janitors are responsible for the cleaning of offices, classrooms, restrooms and hallways within the University to ensure a clean and sanitary environment for students, staff and guests. • Keep buildings in clean and orderly condition • Cleans up spills promptly • Cleans restrooms and lounges • Perform heavy cleaning duties such as cleaning floors and shampooing carpets • Perform routine custodial tasks • Organize custodial closets and spaces • Maintain working condition of cleaning equipment • Must be able to work evenings and weekends Benefits: • Paid holidays • Major medical available Qualifications: • Previous experience in cleaning or other related fields • Ability to handle physical workload • Strong attention to detail • Strong organizational skills • Requires performing tasks mostly standing, some walking, bending, stooping and sitting • Lifting up to 50 lbs.
