C4D is hosting our first event Paint Night to raise money for our work with immigrant youth! Join us for a night of painting, food, and fun CT Students for a Dream (C4D) invites you to a first of its kind event! Join us for a night of fun, painting, and community building. C4D Paint Night for Immigrants Rights Saturday June 4th or 11th, 4-6pm Burroughs Community Center – 2470 Fairfield Ave, Bridgeport CT 06605 During our Paint & Sip Night, you’ll have the opportunity to learn some painting skills, share snacks and build community. All while helping fundraising for a great cause! Participants will be guided on how to paint a (INSERT DESCRIPTION OF WHAT WE’RE PAINTING). At the end of the event, participants will take a home painting of their very own! Tickets are on a sliding scale and include: guided instructions, canvas, paint, and all painting materials, snacks and drinks. $20 - C4D Youth Member 😊- a discounted ticket for those who are youth and directly impacted by C4D’s core issue of immigration and can’t afford a full price ticket$50 - C4D Supporter 😍 - Standard Ticket - includes everything - supplies, snacks, etc. $75 - C4D Super Supporter 💪 - includes a standard ticket, plus help cover the ticket cost for 1 C4D youth member$100 - C4D Stan - includes a standard ticket, plus help cover the ticket cost for 2 C4D youth members$20 - C4D Art Patron 🏅- Not a ticket - I can’t make it that day, but I want to support by helping purchase art supplies for participants. $20 purchases canvas and paint for 2 people!All proceeds from ticket sales will go directly to CT Students for a Dream to keep building and uplifting immigrant youth leadership - including our UndocuPower afterschool and summer programs, our educator engagement, and advocacy work What is Connecticut Students for a Dream (C4D)? We’re the first and only youth-led, statewide organization in Connecticut that fights for the rights of undocumented youth and their families. C4D empowers youth through community organizing, advocacy and leadership development. What is our work? UndocuPower High School Program: C4D has after school and summer programs for immigrant youth and youth of color in 4 high schools around the state to support them in the college pathway and beyond, build their skills as organizers and leaders, and engage youth in creating change in their communities.Campaigns & Advocacy: C4D has led and won several youth-led campaigns to uplift the voices and demands of youth to fight for liberation, including winning new state laws in CT in 2011, 2015, and 2018 opening up instate tuition and institutional financial aid to undocumented students."No Paper, No Fears" Educator Program: C4D’s youth-led program that trains educators through workshops and conferences on how educators can support undocumented students and advance broader change efforts in their schools and districts.
