Join the community-led movement to decriminalize plant medicines & fungi for Colorado! Join us on Saturday, May 7th 2022 from 11:11 - 2 PM @ Cheesman Park by the Pavilion and let's celebrate the 3 Year Anniversary when Denver residents voted to decriminalize mushrooms! You're invited to join the grassroots movement to decriminalize entheogens and fungi in Colorado! Let's gather among like-minded folks and mingle with the team and co-proponents behind the 2022 Colorado ballot Initiative #61. What to expect? We are gathering outside at Cheesman Park in Denver by the Pavilion from 11:11 AM to 2:00 PM - look for the mushroom balloon. It's the 3 Year Anniversary of the May 7th election where Denver residents voted to become the first city to decriminalize mushrooms. Shoutout to all the all the volunteers and voters that helped make history! Come meet and gather with people from Denver's Initiative 301, the community-led initiative that successfully led Denver to become the first city in the US to decriminalize mushrooms in 2019, and members from Decrim Nature Boulder County. This is a celebratory day at the park. Bring what you want and let's picnic! Feel free to bring something to share. There will be some light apps, snacks and beverages, please RSVP. A few reasons why we are working to decriminalize statewide in Colorado: Sacred earth medicines, entheogenic plants and fungi, have been used safely in communities, especially in Indigenous communities for thousands of years. These naturally occurring enthoegenic plants and fungi provide therapeutic, medicinal and spiritual value. Research supports this.We believe no one should go to jail for possession or use. Decriminalize First. Community First BEFORE out-of-state companies rush to regulate, profit, commodify nature. Please note: There is no sourcing of substances at this event. It's truly a "come meet the community" event and learn how to get involved with our grassroots movement and have good conversation with like-minded Coloradans!
