A guided night walk at Horton Grove, highlighting how enslaved North Carolinians used night as a time of refuge and resistance.
ALL AGES
This short guided night walk at Horton Grove will include an evening exploration of historic buildings and trails. Along the way, we'll gather for moments of reflection on enslaved people's dreams and actions for freedom, highlighting how enslaved North Carolinians used night as a time for refuge and resistance.
Come prepared for walking and weather! We will provide bug spray and some lanterns to help us orient, but we'll also intentionally spend time in the darkness during the program.
