Description
WAKEFIELD, MA — President Trump's loss in Massachusetts on Tuesday was expected in the perennially deep blue state, but how did he fare among Wakefield residents this time around?
Support for Trump held relatively steady in 2020 compared to 2016, with the president losing a handful of votes between the two elections. Results from the 2016 election show Trump received 6,060 votes, compared to 6,019 this year. Hillary Clinton received 8,294 votes in Wakefield in 2016, while Joe Biden earned 10,170 in 2020.
Voter turnout was roughly the same as well, hovering around 83 percent in both elections.

Tuesday's vote climaxed a heated battle for control of the White House, unfolding during a pandemic that killed nearly a quarter of a million Americans before Election Day.
