Help build this great new famliy biking event. Staff an energizer station or lead a family-friendly bike ride. Volunteer at Los Altos Family Bike Days! May is Bike Month and GreenTown and the City of Los Altos Safe Routes to School program are teaming up on this new family-friendly biking event. The event will be held over two days during Bike Month: May 21: 9am - noon May 22: noon - 3pmEach day, we will provide: (1) three self-guided rides, one each in North, Central and South Los Altos with energizer stations in each area; and (2) two guided rides in North and South Los Altos (at 10am on Saturday and 1pm on Sunday). We would really appreciate your help: Staffing energizer stations - we will have one in North, Central and South Los Altos on each day. We need friendly faces for this activity! Greet families who come by bike, cheer them on and offer them information and goodies.Leading a ride - we will have one led ride each day. We need two people to lead each ride - a leader and a sweeper. Help families get to know the routes, including cut-throughs, and to learn rules of the road and safe street crossings. Note: Leaders must have a background check through the City of Los Altos to be covered by insurance.We really appreciate your support and help with this event!
