WAKEFIELD, MA — A worker was killed in a tree-cutting accident on Greenwood Street Tuesday, police said. Emergency crews responded to the scene around 11 a.m. after an employee sustained traumatic injuries. The 34-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police. Authorities have not publicly identified him. The man worked for an independent tree company. Law enforcement and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration will investigate the accident.
