Hone your perfume blending skills in a workshop that focuses on watery materials: from salty sea to spa water, we'll smell it all. Join the IAO team and fellow perfume-makers to hone your skills in blending, as we explore the marine category in a hands-on session. The workshop will start with one hour of smelling, where the assembled participants will discuss our pre-curated selection of aquatic materials. We'll focus on the similarities and differences, and discuss possible uses for each aromatic. After our time spent smelling, each participant will do their own self-led blending exercises. At the end of class, we'll take 15 minutes to share our work and discuss our intentions and process. This workshop presents a great opportunity to understand an aromatic category through its materials, by tackling what can be, for many, a challenging aromatic accord. This is a hands-on session that covers more intermediate topics in perfumery. While all are welcome, some experience blending aromatics is recommended. We’ll miss you, but will 100% refund your spot, or give you credit for another class. – Refunds or class credits requested less than 14 days before the scheduled sessipn: We will refund you 50% of your class fee. Why? Because we’ve already ordered the materials. – Refunds or class credits requested less than 48 hours before the class, on the day of the class or after the class has happened will not be granted. The exception to this, of course, is if you have been exposed to Covid-19, or are feeling symptoms yourself. - Cancellations or refund requests must be made by email or via the Eventbrite 'request refund' option.
