Learn to Save Lives!
STOP THE BLEED®
Help given by an immediate responder can often make the difference between life and death. The STOP THE BLEED® Course is designed for those who have little or no medical training, but who may be called upon to provide initial trauma care and bleeding control prior to the arrival of Emergency Medical Services (EMS). This course is designed to educate and prepare community members on what to do in a bleeding emergency. It includes an in-person skills course presentation with instruction on tourniquet application, wound packing, and pressure application. This is a drop-in style skills training event lasting only a few minutes. The actual course length will vary depending on the student's situation. The program is being taught by highly-trained and experienced STOP THE BLEED® educators and trauma providers from Georgia’s Trauma System. Instructors will keep working with course attendees until they are able to demonstrate the correct skills to STOP THE BLEED® and save a life.
The program is fast, fun, free, and empowering!
Please note: This event is being held in conjunction with our Regional EMS Cookout. For more information, please www.stopthebleedgeorgia.org.
