Day 2 (Saturday, May 21st) is our community-focused event for the general public to learn and interact with the green building community through music, interactive showcases and presentations, demonstrations, musical performances, and art! Professional Development Workshop: Industry Trends and Sustainability Careers on the Rise Attend our morning workshop from 10:30-11:30 am that will focus on furthering your career in the sustainability job market! AY is one of the first artists to power his concerts with 100% renewable energy. His initiative and inspiration to perform in a sustainable way started while touring the USA. He learned that over 1 billion people lack access to electricity and started raising awareness about sustainability and fundraising to bring electricity to people without it. Thus, the Battery Tour was born. AY Musik’s Battery Tour is a fresh, imaginative approach uniting musical experience, community development, sustainability education, humanitarian aid, and international cooperation. These innovative interactive engagements revolutionize musical performance by introducing audience-artist collaborative solutions to address the global energy poverty issue, minimizing carbon footprints by powering events with renewable energy. AY landed on The X Factor TV show in 2012 and received four YES’. Inspired, AY hit the streets performing his original music, garnering a grassroots following, and opening for artists Wiz Khalifa, SHAGGY, T-Pain, Flo-rida, Aaron Carter, and others. This year, we expect even more attendees across our two-day, hybrid event from local government agencies, the building industry, and the public gathering to learn about green building principles, practices, and products.
