Join Trailmothers as we Clean and Climb the South Side of this beautiful park we all call home! We will climb the areas we recovered! Hello Stewards of Stoney Point Park This is your founder Kristen! We will spend some time beautifying the South Side Crags of Stoney Point Park! We will still meet at the sign for supplies, group picture and please remeber to enter our raffle giveaways which we will always giveaway after our clean and during our night climbing sessions! I would love for everyone to bring Hot Water for Noodles and Dry Food meals so we can sit together and eat and climb and we will pack out our meals and food and fruit. Please bring your own utenils and PLEASE BRING ONE gallon of water to share and if you would like to bring extra snacks to share please do! This is a free event and our events are sponsored by meals, supplies and giveaways, we are not getting paid to do what we do. Stoney Point Park- On Topanga Canyon Blvd. between Chatsworth St. & 118 Freeway- Chatsworth, CA, 9131134.250636, -118.61481- GPS coordinates Time: 5pm-10pm Meet: At the Sign where we will pick up supplies and make our way to the south/north side boulders such as the surrounding Routes in Turlock, we clean the surrounding crags of Crystal Ball Mantel , Turlock Eliminate, North Face, Turlock, The Real Crystal Ball Mantel Also check out: Mountain Project is an app and platform to find history, local crag climbing like stoney point park, wet rock education, routes and grades. Its a free app! We will make our way to Routes in Spiral Boulders and Spilt Rock, we will collect data and carry trash to the sign and by 6pm we should be collecting our meals, gear, trash bags and we will head to the crag we just cleaned to promote good intetion when coming to a crag to clean before climbing, makes you appreciate the land you walk on and the places we all climb. We will speak about Leave No Trace and ways we as climbers can leave no trace when it comes to our chalk and talk about raising community funds for DIY glass shifters and ways we can secure lids for our trash cans. Things you will need at this event: Headlamp, Flash Lights, Floor Lamps for night climbing, CRASH PADS, Extra gear like chalk and community to help motivate and spot new and returning climbers and community, one gallon of water to bring to share, Hot water for dinner meals, utenils, first aid kit, cool layering, a jacket or beanie and SMILES!
