LEVITTOWN, NY — Candidates who appeared on Levittown ballots in 2020 raised thousands of dollars in the weeks and months leading up to Election Day. That includes candidates in state Assembly, Senate and U.S. Congress races. Using the latest publicly available data from the New York State Board of Elections, Patch compiled a list of how much money each candidate raised — and spent — in 2020. Here's what we found. Assembly District 14 As of Oct. 19, the campaign for incumbent Republican New York state Assemblyman Dave McDonough had raised about twice as much money than Democratic challenger Kevin Gorman. McDonough held a comfortable lead in the race with about 38,000 votes to Gorman's roughly 21,000. Thousands of absentee ballots have not been counted in the race. Engelman did not have a fundraising committee, records showed. Mikulin held a large lead in the race with about 35,000 votes to Engelman's roughly 19,000. Thousands of absentee ballots have not been counted in the race. Kevin Thomas' campaign had raised far more money than Republican challenger Dennis Dunne Sr. Dunne held a comfortable lead in the race with about 65,000 votes to Thomas' roughly 57,000. Thousands of absentee ballots have not been counted in the race. But that money so far hasn't translated into results. Gordon trailed Garbarino by a large margin Thursday with about 111,000 votes to Garbarino's roughly 157,000. Thousands of absentee ballots have yet to be counted.
