Description
LEVITTOWN, NY — As workers continue tabulating the massive number of absentee ballots, new vote totals were released Friday for Levittown races, including Assembly Districts 14 and 17, state Senate District 6 and the 2nd Congressional District.
As Patch previously reported, almost no race in Nassau County was called on Election night, nor were they called in the following days. The county received a massive number of mail-in ballots, and more were received days after the election. There was also high voter turnout for this election. Nassau has about 1.09 million registered voters and county election data showed that more than 578,000 people cast ballots on Election Day and in early voting. The county received more than 144,000 absentee ballots by Election Day as well.
The county began posting updated numbers for many races Friday. Here are the totals as of Friday afternoon. (* denotes incumbent.)
