Press release from the Hamilton School District: April 29, 2022 Seventeen Hamilton High School students competed April 22-27 at DECA International Career Development Conference in Atlanta. DECA members compete in various categories involving tests, presentations and case studies. Case studies are designed to simulate real-life business scenarios and gauges students' academic understanding and skills development. Top performers put their talents to test during final round competition at the international conference. The following students were recognized for their participation: Samantha Seiler, medaled for her project presentation – Integrated Marketing Campaign- Product; Dhruv Ahuja and Aayush Iyengar – Entrepreneurship Innovation Plan; Olivia George – Community Giving Project; Joshua Dahlgren and Joshua Xue – Travel and Tourism Team; Madelyn Gammon and Norah Miller – Hospitality Services Team; Rishi Kothinti and Krishay Toomu – Entrepreneurship Team; Alayna Fry – Human Resources Management; Akhil Pidikiti – Hotel and Lodging Management; Connor Wilcox – Entrepreneurship; Natalie Olson – Principles of Marketing; Madeline Yingst – Principles of Business Management and Administration; and Matthew Maher and Tyler Verhaalen – School-Based Enterprise Academy. As a chapter, Hamilton was also recognized for having a Gold Certified School-Based Enterprise. Hamilton DECA students were among 20,000 DECA conference attendees from more than six countries.
