Press release from Albuquerque Public Schools: April 29, 2022 Focus On Youth is an annual juried photography exhibit showcasing the work of APS high school students. The show is sponsored by APS Fine Arts and the Albuquerque Museum. The opening reception will be Sunday, May 8, from 1-3:30 p.m. The awards presentation will be at 2 p.m. Tuesdays-Sunday: 9 a.m.- 5 p.m. $6 Adults (13-64), $5 NM Residents $4 Seniors (65+) $3 Children (4-12) Children 3 and under are free Free on Sundays from 9 a.m.-1 p.m Full list of free admission days External link Focus on Youth had a modest beginning. In 1986, it was held at a library near downtown Albuquerque. In 1988, the Albuquerque Museum generously offered to host the show and collaborated with APS Fine Arts on this prestigious exhibit. Two years ago, the show was canceled due to the pandemic. Last year, it was held virtually on the museum's website. Focus on Youth was created to highlight and celebrate high school students' efforts in their photography classes.
