PERRY HALL, MD — A rollerskating show in Perry Hall has sold out for Sunday, but tickets are still available to check out the Friday and Saturday shows, organizers say. "We are an artistic roller skating program which is just like figure skating, only on wheels instead of ice," Katelyn Marie Brawn, who runs the White Marsh Recreation Council's rollerskating program, told Perry Hall Patch. "The skaters in our program run all the way from the age of 5 up to a group of skilled adults, and they're are all fantastic!" The family-friendly event this weekend marks the White Marsh rollerskating program's 39th show. It is called "Off the Shelf," since it is choreographed to music inspired by books. Tunes from "Twilight," Harry Potter, "The Wizard of Oz" and "War and Peace" will be used in the program, Brawn said. In addition to being entertaining, it is a "great opportunity for parents of young children to get a taste of what our program is like to maybe try something new when our next session starts in September," Brawn said. "We love being members of this community and would love to share it with as many people as possible!" Tickets are $5 at the door for the White Marsh rollerskating show "Off the Shelf," which will be at 7 p.m. on Friday, April 29; at 2 and 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 30; and is sold out for Sunday, May 1. The show will be at the Honeygo Run Regional Park Community Center, 9033 Honeygo Blvd, Perry Hall, MD 21128.
