Press release from the Camden County Prosecutor: April 29, 2022 On Wednesday, April 27th, Camden County Prosecutor Grace MacAulay hosted an Open House at the Camden County Child Advocacy Center (CAC). The event highlighted the work done at the CAC, where assistant prosecutors, detectives, victim-witness advocates, a SANE coordinator, and clerical staff investigate and prosecute crimes against children. The CAC is a safe, child-friendly setting where the healing of children and their families begins. Presenters included Camden County Board of Commissioners Deputy Director Edward McDonnell and CCPO Chief of Staff Michael Mangold who both discussed the tireless effort of Prosecutor MacAulay in making her dream of creating a stand-alone Child Advocacy Center a reality. Lance Saunders, a retired lieutenant from CCPO and the current President of the "Friends of the Child Advocacy Center," highlighted the fundraising efforts of the non-profit organization to support the work being done at the CAC. A plaque that greets victims and their families when they arrive at the CAC was unveiled which reads, "One Place, One Team, One Coordinated Response Empowering Victims of Child Abuse to Find a Voice and Begin the Healing Process." Prosecutor MacAulay told the guests of the event that her vision for all victims who use the services of the CAC is "Hope, Healing and Justice." Released Friday, April 29, 2022.
