Click here to learn more. Here are the top three stories today in Charleston: A hit-and-run victim, 26-year-old Romeile Codrey, was run over by a North Charleston Police Department officer. The officer in question was responding to the incident on Dorchester Road when he reportedly did not see the victim. EMS responded to the scene and pronounced the victim dead. (ABC NEWS 4)Charleston has been ranked 11th in a study that analyzed inbound rental rates for major United States cities. The study looked at 3.4 million rental applications to produce the list. According to StorageCafe, two-thirds of new renters in the city are from out-of-state. (Charleston Post Courier)Officers with the North Charleston Police Department have replaced a child's basketball hoop out of their own pockets. The officers replaced a broken hoop after walking through Dorchester Terrace on a peace walk. The department hopes that the new hoop will last the children for years to come.
